Perfect for windowsills, hanging baskets, atriums, terrariums, ferneries, indoor rockeries.
The Maidenhair Fern is an indoor favourite, owing its popularity to the delicate and fine foliage. There are over 200 species of Maidenhair (Adiantum), each with many varieties to choose from. Plants can grow up to 1m in height, but are most commonly kept small on desks, in hanging baskets, or as part of an atrium or terrarium display with other plants and decorative elements. Indoors, they do well in a brightly lit spot, but out of direct sunlight. Water freely in summer, and keep the soil moist in winter. Maintain suitable humidity by misting, or placing the pot on a tray of pebbles containing some water. Avoid draughty zones and spots that experience temperature fluctuations, such as corridors, foyers, balconies and bathrooms.
