The Weeping Fig is a type of ficus tree, and is also known as the Benjamin Fig, or simply a Ficus. It is a vigorous plant native to Asia and Australia, growing up to 30m tall in its natural habitat. Indoors, however, they can be kept at a manageable size as potted plants or bonsai. Due to its hardiness and elegant, consistently tree-like appearance, the weeping fig is a popular low-maintenance indoor plant for houses and offices in many parts of the world. This plant has been proven effective at removing formaldehyde from the air, and may be used to improve air quality in indoor offices.
